Default Foam Tire

Hey, I am trying to get back into racing my T1FK05 after about three years or so, and i was wondering why rubber tire has become so popular on carpet? Perhaps it only applies to where I live (Northeast), but does anyone run foams anymore?
Thank you

Only pan cars are running foam in my area. Less maintenance and cheaper to run each week was our reason for going to rubber tires. Brushless motors, lipo batteries, and rubber tires. Now the only thing I have to do on race day is work on car setup and talk to friends.

Same here, rubber tire is all that runs consistently, foam is dead. Occasionally you'll get a group that wants to run foam tires but it doesn't happen that often.

Brushed motors, round cells and foam tires are out. Brushless motors, Lipo batteries and rubber tires are in and I'm liking the change.

Thanks i guess that makes sense, it's just pretty brutal if all your earnings went into 6 cell packs foam tires and novak gtx's back in the day- ughh. Change of pace here we come, thanks again,
