The problem is, you're trying to save some money, but its costing Schumacher money when you do that. If everyone thought the same way as you, they'd go out of business and you'd be screwed because there wouldn't be an Mi4LP to buy. Just look how many Serpent S400s there are around now, since Serpent effectively dropped support - and thats a company still in business!
If you want a TC, buy a secondhand real
car. If you get a clone and then waste a crapload of money buying real parts for them, why not get the real thing in the first place and save money/time/effort? Parts should fit (because the design is 100% stolen), but whats the point in sinking $100 on parts, when you could have bought a real one that wouldn't have broken in the first place?
Cloners are just bad news for the rest of the RC indiustry. Manfacturers will lose money and that leads to either scaling back to stay liquid, or going out of business. And scammers will buy crappy knockoffs and pass them off as real. Notice how many TRF416's have appeared on eBay recently in great condition, but no box and a photocopied manual.....being a clone will always be in the back of your mind...

Hobbywing make Speed Passion ESCs for Speed Passion, its not the same thing at all. They are 100% licensed and legitimate.
