Exclamation HELP....is the TC3 a competitive VTA kit!

Getting into VTA racing and have a TC5 foam tire version and a TC3 on the way from ebay. Havent had allot of luck with the TC5 but have read that the TC3 is a strong competitive kit and much easier to get setup as well. Can anyone offer some insight on this as well as set up tips for the TC3.....thanks!

There's a lot of guys in your area that could help you set up either car. Where do you plan on racing? R/Car? Slots?

Yes Brian gets the TC3 around very well and is all around a super nice guy that's always willing to help a guy out.

Also how do your tires wear not running any camber?

When I ran my TC3 my set up was

Oil- 35wt rear 40wt front #2 pistons
blue springs front
silver springs rear
1 degree camber all the way around
7-8mm ride height
droop- 4 in front 3 in rear
no sway bars
Ball diff front and rear

Like I said there's a lot of guys around at either place that would be glad to help you out.

Just yesterday at our club race a TC3 took first and second in VTA. From what I could they didn't have any problems and all drivers are pretty good in that class.

Slots is definately not dead...VTA racers are going to both tracks, not one over another. The problem is Thanksgiving and Christmas both fell on Fridays this year.

TC3 is a good competitor in VTA. You will more than likely need to modify your chassis and motor cam to gear it right. Its an easy job search through the VTA tuning thread for the how to. I been doing well in VTA with one.
simmilar set up to the above set ups

The TC3 from what I seen works well.

The TC5 also does too. There is a person I race with who went to the TC5 from his TC3 and is happy with that decision as it works better for him.
