The pic you posted shows a car with rear shocks attached at the back of the rear shock tower, whereas the small "pink" pic shows the sakura has them on the front of the tower. Hence the "fowtown" comment, I guess. Of course that is the only common feature, because the photon is obviously very different, and probably better also...

Yeh taking all the other companies design ideas like Xray motor mount and lower bulkheads with Tamiya/HB suspension blocks, upper bulkheads and shock towers.

3Racing seem to be going to a lot of effort coming up with Japanese names to try and pass off their borrowed ideas as Japanese designs

I know alot of you guys hate three racing, but to slam it as a piece of junk without actually having a 3racing car in your hand, or never seeing one in person is kinda jumping the gun. You can call it a copycat of whatever you want but its not a true die cut copy of anything yet. Also its a touring car, how different do they actually get.

If it is anything like the f-109 then the car should be able to give others a run for there money.

And it should be well priced. The F1-09 is around the same price as the HPI Formula Ten in the UK for example.

I'd rock a pink car. Just not that pink car.

The F-109 is a pleasant surprise. If this car is of a similar standard, it will be very good.

My experience with 3Racing, is that if they make a part to replace a kit item, they will just make it out of alloy, including all the slop, where they make a 'new' item, of their own design, fit and finish is pretty good.

i have used 3r options on almost all my cars for the past years (mii z, 1/18 and 1:10 cars) and i have been happy with their parts.

looking forward to see some more info on their new car! if the price is right i will buy one, they have alot of knowlegde in rc so the car shouldnt be too bad!

The 3 racing F109 is a fantastic car. Much much better than the HPI car and also costs quite a bit less.

I am really interested in this car, especially if the price is very competitive.

I just got some of the 416 3R parts including the revised motor mount and layshaft, the design is very good and the quality is first class.
I am glad they have not just bundled all their 416 parts into a kit and released it, from the CAD sneak pic it looks to have many of its own pieces.

The OZ importer was told they will be racing this car at TITC in Feb, but he was given no further details.
