Looking at this, there is no reason why they cant make a caged "Torrington" style bearing,a-la an automatic transmission.

Obviously the price would be much higher, but how many shell out BIG coin for ceramic ball bearings??
only problem with the torrington bearing is how to mount to the diff pulley??

I agree with Dangles assessment, the car looked very good on the track and was very stable when changing direction at speed. The car carried very good corner speed and with a bit more tweaking will be at the pointy end.

Mind you helps having a driver of Bradd's calibre punting it around the track.

I hope it goes well at TITC.

Later,

Calvin

I guess that the diff pulley would resemble a ring gear, as for mounting it, i'm sure it could be done (clamped around the perimeter ?), but for simplicity's sake, the new design is probably still a better option.
What got me thinking was the caged ball thrust in the Xray diff.

Yes it was impressive to see to see it get within a few tenths of my old Losi The build quality of the car was as good as the T3 sitting next to it. Does 3 racing also use special secret formula blend composite and Swiss 7075?? Because only Swiss is acceptable!!

What?
This is the price of European and Japanese chassis.
But i still believe this is not the exact price, at least in HK, i guess.

In the UK for example, a TC5R is around £300, a Cyclone TC is around £380, a TOP Photon is around £300, and an Xray T3 is around £370.

£225 would seriously undercut most carbon/alloy touring cars. The cheaper Schumacher Mi4LP (the S1 conposite version) is around that price.

i think to begin with this price is pretty competative! But we will wait and see how it performs on the track
