Can you post a good setup for foam tires on a TC5 .
I can providee a car for testing if you dont have one, so you can post your findings

Hey Paul, How's it going?
I have a 007 and I run carpet with foam tires. I'd like to try running rubber tires a few times. Would I be able to get away with using my carpet setup and just take some screws out of the multi-flex chassis and change the springs.

Jag88: Good question. This is something that i have tested a lot, and the results vary for me depending on how i test it. I think that if you simply toe them out, (with out shimming the front end back to have the same wheel base) you dont accomplish much. generally (i think) toeing out the front pins will induce roll more over the rear threw out suspension travel, but if you dont re adjust the wheel base your car will be more front heavy so you may accually notice the wheel base change more than the pin toe.
So mostly it is a change that dosent always equate to more steering or less steering, it is more an adjustment of Ballance and how you want the car to roll, and from their depending on how the rest of your car is set up will be the result of what it accually did. I have had it work differently depending on the rest of my car, tracks, tires, etc. Their is really no cut and dry answer but i usually run them iether straight or .75mm toe out. hardly ever toed in.

Panther: you could get away with it but i dont think that it will be the best for you, plus im sure that your curiousity will get the best of you as to what you may be missing with the full rubber set up. but i would go to the xray site and check out some set-ups and see what you can do with what you have, then go from their.
