Hey Mike....got a quick question. Been looking for a spool....cant find one! Does AE make one for the tc3? The only one I can find is the ntc3 one...which seems like it would be too wide. Please help me out here....if AE doesnt make one, who does? I need some part numbers!

Mike, thanks for your advise about the highways last night. I had to tippy-toe all the way to I-71 and then there were patches of heavy snow fall and ice the entire way to Columbus. After that the roads were fine, but I made it in good shape. I learned I don't have to add any droop to the suspension on my Sante Fe

Thanks Tempest2000

But I have another question....how will the alum spool hold up to using the stk cvd's? I know IRS says to use the pin cushions to keep the wear down...but how long would it last without the pin cushions? Thanks kinda why I was looking to see if AE made a steel one like the ntc3...or any other options. Thanks

Seth, I have one and it doesn't last more than 6-8 runs before you start getting notches in it w/ stock CVDs.

Hey Mike I know that you are busy now!! lol lol But when you get back I wanted to ask you about an old chassis of yours. I think that I got it From Darryl!! Here in Spring Hilll TN. You had the sides milled down along with some of the webbings removed. You also took out part of the main bone down the center and had one machined and put back in to stiffin the front to rear flex. The overall bone was also milled down to match the sides. What was the reasoning behind making the car so flexible. (oh it is the composite chassis also) Thanks Matt

yea Mike hope you bring another one home for team Associated

Matt was telling us on another thread that the sides was milled down when you where racing aspholt. and we all where discussing chasses flex and that this seems to cause more of it and most of us where under the asumption that this was bad
thanks for any input when you get time

Not sure if this the correct thread for set-up help, but if you don't mind ??

I'm just want to know if :-

Moving the rear upper shock mounting points outwards to STOP the rear inside wheel lifting while cornering is the best solution to the problem

Grip is not a problem (but i was looking to improve the set-up by stoping the lifting of that inside wheel) to be honest the set-up is very close to right

running indoors on a carpet track with foam tyres

got about(very close too) 2mm front and rear upwards shock movement only (droop)

Just looking for confirmation that my mind is working correctly really

Thanks guys
