Is it too early to consider the 416 for the R/C hall of fame?

I'm thinking that it's the drivers Tamiya has at the International level right now that's getting the car results. The 416 is nothing spectacular from a technical standpoint in comparison to anything else on the market, IMO.

The TC3 was a monster in it's day, and Losi's JRX-S design was quick in the right hands.

Theres no other sedan that can touch a TC3 for the title....it was and continues to be a brilliant design and was untouchable for years. Simple yet very effective!

The TC3 is by far the granddaddy of all sedans. Untouchable for what, three years? Then they started making revisions and it got better. My next vote would be for the XRay Evo2 FOC. That platforn is still awesome to this day.

i agree the MR4TC did very well and won the first sedan IFMAR if i'm not mistaken. I thought it handled better than the TC3, but the TC3 was a bit better in stock

Express? Craig Xavier had one back then.

My vote for best TC of it's time was the original RS4. Tamiya made the TC market, but IMO HPI made the first competition grade TC.

But the BEST TC of it's time would have to go to the Xray Worlds Edition, last of the saddle-pack cars, which was never released. It had superb weight distribution!

Rs4 pro, TC3, then the FK04...which was probably better than the next 2 cars they came out with. After that it's up in the air.

What year did T/C come in to play. I have only been around r/c for 8 years. My first car was the Yokomo Mr4tc. I then got the Tc3 cause everyone was running it in stock. I like the Yok but man the Tc3 had the speed out of the corners.

I now run the Kyosho Stallion since 05. I like it cause it was money from day one for me and all th red really tickles me inside.

Great thread.
