Rebuilding Motors
what are the nessecary tools needed to rebuild electric stock motors and tools that are nice to have.

A small phillips head screw driver and a 4.5mm nut driver(for spring posts) if you'll be aligning the hoods. The 4.5mm driver must be small enough to fit over the nut without hitting the hoods.

tools needed to rebuild electric stock motors
SPC Racing;
1) #0 Phillips Head Screwdriver (for disassembly/assembly)
2) Brush Hood Alignment Tool (use is obvious)
3) Spring Post Wrench (4.5mm)
4) Several thicknesses of Motor Shims (for adjusting endplay)
5) Electric Motor Bushing Oil (you should have this already)
6) Access to a Com Lathe (For truing the Com)
7) Some kind of Break-in/Soldering Stand (comes in handy)
8) Soldering Iron (You should already have this)
IMHO, without ALL of these, you are leaving the job unfinished.
