Default Tamiya TT-01 parts

1. What is a good brushless motor/esc for $75-150?

2. Is it ok to run a brushless system in their stock setup?
If not, what is the best bushed motor for the same money?

3. Where can I get deep dish wheels?

Thanks for any and all info in advance.

You're welcome, make sure you upgrade the plastic drive shaft to a metal/aluminum one. The stock plastic one will warp under high rpm from the brushless motor. Also make sure your car has a full set of ball bearings installed.

If you can afford it go brushless. The EZrun is really good value: i have 3 in different cars. There are better but you'd have to spend big $$$ to get a better system.
I honestly wouldnt spend big money on a TT01, or spend too much on upgrades. You can easily end up spending far more than the car is ever worth & a TA05 or TB03 would have been cheaper. The EZrun is still a good choice for that car though.
A metal driveshaft & bearing kit, 2degree rear hubs are all you need for now.
Perhaps a harder metal pinion than the standard one as well.
And some good tyres.

Brushed motors can be a bit of a pain. The motors need rebuilding too often: its cheap & easy but just a pain in the A. You need to find a shop with a comm lathe.

You can find anything on ebay, if you live in the US then you're in parts heaven compared to some other countries.

Thanks 1101. Actually what I'm really wanting to do is just buy the TT-01 bathtub because I know in the long run I'll end up ugrading everything to the Tamiya blue anodized aluminum parts anyway. I thought about the carbon fiber tub but there's no point in that for me. It's only theoretically useful for comps and I don't plan on doing any. It'd just get scratched to H.
