Default Why does everybody dislike Corally?

I have just recently entered the 1/12 scale racing scene with a Corally SP12m and it is a great car. But all I ever hear is bad stuff about Corally. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I live 30 mins away form the USA corally distributor in Orlando but i just think it is a great line of cars. And anybody who was at the snowbirds probably heard a joke or two about he Corally banner ordeal.

I was there, never heard anything about it.......Rob was a pretty cool guy.

I don't think anyone dislikes them, just most shops don't stock parts, which makes it hard to run them regularly.

there are quite a few reasons that I know of but the net isn't the place to air it. I'll leave it at that.

The comment that I mentioned in the above post is that the Corally banner on the wall kept fallling down and some of the guys were saying that Corally can't even keep there banner up, just like their team.

There are a bunch of people that run Corally 1/12th at our local track. A few guys also have their sedan, the assassin. The assassin ins one of the trickest looking cars I've seen. The 1/12th scales are totally competitive with the right person driving them.

I think the real issue, is that in the US, not too many shops stock parts for them. And that's what drives usage.

That......and the setup issue. Sure is easier to find the sweet setup when 10 people run the same car at a track than it is when you are the only one......

A lot of people drive Honda's over here in Hong Kong....if you get enough people using the same thing....theres comes a time when they know nothing better. That nothing better then becomes "the best"............

I like Corallys.....but then again...I don't drive a Honda neither!

I don't think I've ever met anybody who "dislikes" Corally. They are certainly not the biggest company here in the USA, but they are pretty widespread, and they make good stuff.

I've been running a C4 euro for a year now. It may be 3-4 years old but it can hang with any other car on the track. A good base setup took about a 3 weeks of racing and practice to find(for carpet) but that's part of the fun. Corally's require abnormal setups sometimes, but once dailed, their fast.

I've been running both the 1/12th and now the assassin. Corally makes good equipment! And service call Rob or Mike and it's shipped that day.
