Hi everyone, quick question for you guys.
1. What do you guys think about this speedo?
2. Has anyone gone from a lrp spx to the advanced speedo, what do you thing about the transition ( power, smoothness, punch and top speed ).
3. Does it loose power at the end of a run like some spedos?
I`m just asking because i`ve just bought 2 of the speedos ( advanced ) and just looking for all the info i can get, thank you.

FYI, McSmooth was running between 1.65 and 1.70 rollout with a Tekin RS Pro (V200 firmware), and was almost 0.5 sec slower than Eli Ezrow with the AE ESC, and he was the fastest of the non-AE ESC 17.5 TCs (and McSmooth TQ'd the Carpet Nats back in March when they were both running the RS Pro). Both were running the Duo motor. The low rollout gives great rip in the infield, and the ESC screams down the straight as well (stupid fast down the straight). It makes a 17.5 look like a 13.5.

Kelly Bean was, I believe, running a 17.5 in 1/12 13.5, with the AE speedo, and still finished mid-pack in his main. lol.
I heard that Horizon will start distributing the AE speedo, and the price should come down quite a bit from what the first batch cost. I was hearing around $220-250. Hope its true and they get the pipeline filled soon.

Speed Control
Just came back from the Cleveland Race and the Advanced speed control was the dominate factor. You could clearly see the difference in the cars that had them and those that don't. What I saw it is awesome product and cant wait to strip one into my CRC ride. Advanced Electronics and CRC products a combination that cant be bet.

I hope you are right about the second part of Horizon carrying the AE speedo and lowering the price to a more tolerable price. $350-$400 for an esc is just stupid.

Not sure Kelly was a good one to pick for comparison. Yes, his fast laps in Masters and Super Stock looked to be the same, 10.5, which indicates that he did likely run a 17.5 in the 13.5 class. Bad part is that the fast guys were all running 9.6s and 9.7s in 13.5 and 10.1s & 10.2s in Masters. Guess the AE speedo did not help him as much as others. Sorry Kelly, just stating the facts.

Hi Steve L,
Yea I was running the new speedo and it was alot faster than my tekin but it was hard to get a good base line to set up my car and gearing when you break almost every round of practice and heats. LOL 7 sets of front arms and 2 rear axles plus all of the peeled tires. I was going to slap a 13.5 in my car if I could have had better luck and kept my car together in stock. The funny things is how can the 13.5 guys let me beat them with a stock motor. LOL
Steve I hope you come back to race with us soon. Its not the same without you and Bob Shanau ( I might have spelled Bobs last name wrong sorry Bob )
take care,
Kelly

Hi everyone! Has anyone of you, guys, who are lucky owners of this speedo tested it on a 10.5 specTC car with foam tires? Does it make really the difference or it's better used with 13.5,17.5,21.5 stock motors? Tnx for your answers,Paolo
