Kopro Radios
Hi Guys and Gals,
I have been fighting a glitching problem for months now :flaming: and it appears that it is my transmitter unit. After replacing everything but the actual pistol grip unit it was still glitching severely. Used a friends radio and all my problems disappeared. Sooo....I'm looking at getting a Kopro. Now my question is the Mars R is not to bad of a price ($190), but it isn't the latest version that is out (Helios @ $320) What are the pro's/con's of going with the Mars over the Helios or vice versa? Thanks for commenting. Scott |
Over at my place there are some users using Mars R.
But there are always glitching problems with some of them. I cant tell whether its the Tx/Rx, the car or whatever. Most of us are using Sanwa/Airtronics M8. Its user friendly and problems coming out of it is kept to the minimal. Just my 0.02 |
I was shopping around for a Helios and found a place for ~290. I don't remember now.
For some people with large hands, the Mar R grip is too small. You would have to try it for yourself as with any other radio. |
I forgot to mention that you can find Helios cheaper overseas. The only downside is that if it breaks, you can't have warranty service done here.

wow.. you think that radios are expensive at 320? Here in Sweden the radios cost 3000-4000 Swedish Crowns and more which is about 400-500 bucks in todays ratings. I bought my Helios in HK for about 300 bucks including wheelextension unit and shipping at PrecisionRC.com
The prices are totally whacked up here, 80% of all the racers buy most of their stuff in HK, UK or in the States... Whish i lived in Japan or HongKong! |

I bought my Helios at Micro Rc for $284.95 free shipping. I would suggest buy it at authorized dealers, so you can get support from Ko Propo USA.
I used 3PK and M8 before. Ko Propo is the best. |
The government is wearing on me as well. What do you need. I can get the Helios for 315 locally. Poss 16 to 20 shipping
If your up for that, I'll find out what I want.:D |
