xray slop!!
dealing with a xray T2 07 and am encountering some steering slop, when the car sitting still you can wiggle the front wheels about 2mm and see the steering post on the bottom moving around...the bad part is Ill do a slow do a tight 360 and both front shake..........damn I thought these cars were the cream of the crop! whats your take on this ?

Just some worn out parts. Try to work out what is causing the slop and replace the parts.

download the exploded view and the manual and take the steerin apart and check it's all correct. Skiddins |
The latest generation of xrays have sloppy steering compared to the older models. Its the style of turnbuckle ends and the ball joints. Get someone with an xray in good condition to compare. Lots of crashing and bashing generates alot of slop.

He's got a T2 007 which I would say it's rather old. But even if it isn't, mine (another T2 007) had slop in the turnbuckles from brand new in the box. |
It could be slack in the actual servo itself. I had a jr servo that when off the ground would wiggle the tires back and forth because of the slack it couldnt find 0.
