personally, i was disappointed with the mamba. we couldn't make it do much more than what an spx would have given us. we collaborated with another proponent of the mmp, and he gave us his setup and a backup motor to use it on. still, no-go, in terms of being earth shattering.
incidentally, we did get it figured out pretty well in 13.5, though. at least for short indoor tracks...

at the n.e.g.s. race this past weekend, the tekin seemed to be the ticket in stock (17.5). visually, they were sick. on the clock, they appeared to be a heavy tenth faster than the mamba (using the top guys for the comparison).

we ran a duo and a duo2. james reilly also ran this combination. sydor tq'ed with the tekin, and reilly and wise qualified 2nd/3rd respectively with the mambas.
to answer your question, the advantage appeared to be all over the track. definitely in top end, but sydor had the low end at least matched as well. now, don't get me wrong, sydor can wheel and earned his win all by himself. (he's tq'ed every leg thus far). plus all three of them drove a different chassis (phi, t3, mi4), which is another variable, but there were a few standout cars that looked like they should have been running in superstock. to my knowledge, each of those had a tekin in them.
we have another leg at fastcats in a month. i'd like to have both units in the car between now and then generating some real data ...

your RPM is set too high you will loose your bottom end since the motor needs too spool up to 14000 RMP before the timing boost kicks in
