I run my 11.5 @ stock motor timing, 50 deg esc timing, 6500rpm-50,000+rpm. Its ok to use max timing. Just make sure it doesn't come in early. This way, less timing is added when your speed is low, giving more torque and a cooler motor.

FDR = 4.0
start up mode = High (set this at high for max punch)

Adjust your FDR to about 4.5 since your track is small.
thanks i will give this a shot. what motor temps were you getting ?

you mean your 17.5 right. so i just adjust the rpm range in custom and go to 50,000 on the end rpm. what fdr do you run.

its different on the ballistic 17.5 as the neutral setting is 30 actual degrees . when i talked to novak they said that they tested other manufactuers motors on there timing machine and there 10 degree mark is really 42-45 actual degrees timing so set that motor to 0 degrees and its really 32-35 actual degrees not 0 degrees. if that makes sense. so really the 30-35 degrees on the ballistic is about right.

No. I really meant 11.5T. Its the stock wind here in some parts of asia. As for FDR, I'll go between 6-7.5 depending on track size. I would assume a range of 4.5-6.0 would be more suited to a 17.5T. So far no one is faster than me on the straights and coming out of turns. The only issue for me right now is car setup, tire selection and of course, practice.

Good news!!! My special edition 1S lipo version of the MMP shipped out to me today! They said 1st week of Jan., so they are ahead of schedule. How often does THAT happen with any company these days? lol. Hope the holidays don't delay it so it gets here in time to get it in my 1/12th for Sunday racing.

Testing three different brand motors this weekend, two of the motors are made by the same company but sold under two different names.
The two motors had the same stutter problem, and the third motor from a different manufacturer was much better, I only had one little stutter with this motor.
There seems to be somewhat of a software glitch with the ESC, the stutter seems to happen more with a motor that has a weaker magnetic.

Let me know if you have experienced this with your PRO.

I don't think the magnet strength has anything to do with it. And from your previous posts, you seemed to have everything in correctly and have tested with different sensor cables and motors. I wouldn't discount the fact that your speedo may be faulty. Send it in to Castle and let them have a go at it....

With your setting at 50,000rpm for your top range you are never getting that many rpms so you are never using all that 50 degrees of timing. Thats cool if it works for you but just letting you know.

i would try re-calibrating your speedo when putting in each motor. and see if that helps. also make sure the sensor cable is good .

Thanks for the interesting info. I have a DUO2 and wondered if anyone know what the "0" mark's actual timing is also...

I want to get another MMP, but it is sort of an unobtanium atm. You can get the combo deals, but I don't need another motor. Most places said late Dec, but now it says "on order" or mid Jan.
