If this MMP is as good as everyone is saying, then yes I agree it is still a bargain at $150. I think I'll wait until they leave the BEC in and it is able to step up 3.7V to 6v. I do love my Castle Micro equipment and the PC interface for it.

yes, the mmp will fit but i would suggest like i did to remove it from the case and i used battery shrink wrap and shrink wrapped the whole speedo and cut out all the vents so it would not overheat. mine fits in the center behind the servo and infront of the antenna/shock mount. my receiver pack is on the left and my receiver(mini spectrum) is on the right. also, depending on your gearing you may have to legnthen the wires. i would not suggest trying to do it from the board.

If your running Spektrum try a stutter stopper.

As for a speedo getting shipped to you I'm sure they will send you one but as of right now they don't have any in stock. I just talked with them on Friday evening and they are roughly 5 weeks out to get them all back in stock.

Have a link to the stutter stopper? I might try one in my VTA car, still getting a slight stutter on occasion.

As for the five weeks that sucks but at least I ordered a Sidewinder to hold me over until I get the new one.

I think this is it:

http://www.spektrumrc.com/Products/D...ProdID=SPM1600

I have one of these as SR3000 receivers with certain Escs would get weird issues.

Is it okay to plug this into the bind slot? All the other slots are taken (esc, servo, transponder).

Also, it worked perfectly fine in this car (stadium truck) since I got it, the problem just started Saturday on the work bench and continued all day yesterday. Up until now I never had a problem with it.

I think it should be fine. Call Horizon though and confirm.

What would be awesome for 1/12th scale is if Castle would turn the Micro Pro into a sensored ESC that works with 1S lipo.

To answer above, yes you can plug the stutter stopper into any open spot on the reciever, aux or bind, or bat slot, doesnt matter.
The other thing I would do if you are having problems like that with your Mamba Max Pro is, update to the latest software, mine was funny on the bench till I updated...

If the switch is going bad just replace it go to radioshock that's what I did in mine and works flawlessly....

I'm not saying you are wrong but it doesn't seem like that is the problem.

Thanks but I don't think it is the switch. After explaining the issue to the people at Castle I imagine if they would have thought it was the switch they would have mentioned it to me rather than volunteering to just send me a new esc.

The firmware was updated to the newest a couple of weeks ago. I reloaded the latest version of the firmware hoping that it would take care of the problem but unfortunately it did not help.

Last night I took the lead from the mmp on my T3 and the mmp from my T2 and hooked them both (one at a time) up to the receiver on my speed-t and everything worked fine. I'm pretty sure it is just a bad esc. It's inconvenient but it's not really a big deal, with electronics things go bad from time to time.
