" it some tight turns the ass end slides out. can anyone offer some advice?" -
I'd suggest increasing rear toe by 0.5 degree as the easiest way to solve the problem - or drive slower

As to the 04 v 05 debate; I've had both and the 05 is much better at transitioning chicanes and also allows you to get the power on coming out of a corner quicker than the 04...but the 04 is no slouch!

hey everyone,

i posted a thread on this already but i was wondering if you guys could help me out

i got given an Evo2 rear ultra-tune shock tower and i wanted to fit it to my xray T1(the original w/ pillow ball suspension).

the problem is the shock caps hit the tower if i try and use the top two rows of holes so im limited to the very bottom row, but that makes the ride height too high.

has anyone else fitted it successfully to an original T1???

if so how do i??? or do i need to buy different shocks???

your help will be GREATLY appreciated

thanx
robbie

Put some spacers in between the shock tower and the ball end until you get the gap that you want. You will be needing a longer screw though! Good luck..

Can you adjust the ride height by adjusting the spring collar + downstop screws ? Last resort you must use additional spacer top and bottom.

You have to compensate on the gap of the lower arm and ballend at the bottom as well to reduce the angle a bit.

How to make XRay T1 FK take corners incredibly fast ? I get low speed at corner entry and mid corner. I can't push it faster because the car make wide radius ( understeer ).

Tell me your magic recipe

Can someone help me and tell me what size set screw I need for a Motor pinion? I have some set screws but the thread pitch is different from the motor pinion set screw. Is there a company which sells them in packs of 10 or 20? Are these set screw metirc or standard sizes? I am using pinions from Xray.

I think robinson racing sells a package of set screws. I remember seeing them at the LHS. The kimborough pinions are smaller, like .05.

So I quite naturally jumped on the bandwagon and acquired an 05 after selling a rib or two to scrape up enough funds. He was an average B main driver before. But his lap times dropped immediately from 12.5's to 12.1's. The 05 seems to accelerate harder out of the corners as well.
i would have to agree about the 05 's handling it's excellent i love it better than my 04 but both are really great cars the 05 is a little easier to drive but with the right setup the 04 has no equal

Default Xenon rims not fitting?

Had a really annoying problem this weekend at Hitec. I glued brand new tires onto Xenon rims, but the rims kept working themselves loose (and then flying off) as hard as I screwed them on. It seems that the Xenon rims don't quite fit the Xray hubs. Anyone?

Do you use the coned washers between the screw and rim?
If you are, maybe you can use some threadlock to keep the screw in place.
