PRS spurs are awesome.

Do the Tamiya fluorine coated shocks fir the FK? Do any modifications need to be made, and dimensions wise, how are they different?

Thanks

Does anyone know offhand what size the holes of xray pistons are? 56 maybe?

Cool, thanx for the pix JDXray. Which servo are you using? Because I've tried to install my Airtronics 357 in that position, but it just didn't fit. I'll get a picture of what I'm talking about in a little bit. Thanx.

I was able to get my JR 8417 to fit in that position, but it required that I remove a little material from that hinge pin mount and not use the bottom screw on that side

Default wow!

wow guys. i got this evo2 a couple months ago(used). it drove so-so. it was better than the old tc3 but wasnt winning material. now a couple $100 later, with the bmi 350, jacos, springs, short arms... THIS THING HAULS! i just raced it for the first time and took over the B-main (because of horrible qualifying). all i have to say is wow. this was my first onroad race because im an offroad racer. dbl pink/orange and dbl pink tires with purple and violet springs on a bmi 350 chassis. now i need carpet towers and ill be set.

thank you xray!

To mount Tamiya shocks on the FK, you need: four 3 x 8 (10) mm button-head screws, 6 x 2mm spacers, and all the regular tamiya mounting gear (threaded ball-ends). The ball-ends screw right on the same long set-screws that you use for the X-Ray shocks. The only mod that you will need to make is to the shocks on the rear ... you need to change the bottom ball-cups to longer ones or you will not make a 5 mm ride-height.

I made the change and I found the car to be more consistent. I still use XRay springs. I have always had great luck with Tamiya shocks so I put them on the car.

Here's a photo:

Ya no problem. I am using a hitec servo, but i think i am gonna upgrade to a futaba 9550 or KO pretty soon. If you think about it any servo should work even if it is slow because the xray has tons of steering.

I run a 9550 in my xray with great success. BTW, the Tamale C-hubs are awesome!!!!!!!! I never knew how bent my Xray ones were until I installed these Tamale ones. Definately a MUST have if you run alum C-hubs.

Cool, thanx for all your help. I was just hesitant on installing the servo on to the back set of mounting holes, when they are that far apart. I've finally switched over, hopefully everything will stay tight.

To me that's the nicest part aboutthe XRC chassis...

it moves the servo back a little bit so it can sit inboard more

at skinart76- i guess you can leave your servo where it is. But you mounted it on the back of the posts if you leave the posts where they are and just put the servo ears on the other side and screw them in, it shold fit nicely.
