Anyway it`s boring now, lets get back to basics
The kit x-ray oil(30wt)?
I have used yokomo 30wt could this be the reason it feels springy on the back.
if i put the two bottles together vertically then turn them horizontally x-ray oil takes longer to settle flat?
To get the two to match i have to go to 45wt (yoko) to be the same settling speed, does this sound right(x-ray oil similier to yoko 45wt)

Yes, I believe you're correct. The XRay oil is about 10 - 15 heavier than it's peers.

I also know that Losi oil is heavier than Associated Oil. I just learned this and have since swapped out all my oils for the same brand.

dr_hfuhuhurr,

Are you going to be at Road Rage 4? I see you are in the area, and I think I'm gonna come down with the Michigan boys!

Default Spring Steel Hex Hubs

I have read a few posts about the Aluminum hex hubs expanding on the FT car. For those of you who have experienced this, are you replacing all four hubs? Just fronts? Or rears?

Thanks.

Just the fronts, not the rear.

Neil, about how heavy are the spring steel hubs in comparison to the regular alum and the FK alum hubs.

Is Losi the same as Xray or does the Xray oil still seem heavier? All my oil is Losi.

The spring steel hubs are heavier, I'm not sure by how much. There is more mass to rotate than the alum hubs, however the durability of the spring steel hubs far exceed the difference in weight b/w the two.
