I have them both (T1R and EVO2). The T1R is MUCH MORE flexible. For carpet racing on foam tires I recommend the EVO2. Car is more rigid and more responsive. The T1R is too stuck. High bite situations the EVO2 will out shine the T1R every time.

Guys-
The EVO2 Chassis is great on Carpet.... but it does flex more then the original Chassis X-Ray use to offer... Some Drivers like this. The T1 Original Chassis stiffens it up quite a bit and is Better IMO then the EVO2 Chassis. The Tub IMO may be better if you use the Graphite Top plate... I still have to test this.. but if it is to Stiff then I can go to the Medium or Soft Arms.
That is what I like about the X-Ray...lots of options... Some team Driver still use Pilow Balls on carpet... it is all Driver Dependant.
I have not broken a rear belt on any of my X-Ray cars when I had them...but I have heard of people putting the Solid Diff in the rear and the rear belt snapped under hard Breaking. I have no clue what putting a solid diff in the rear would do for the car but they did it and it broke. Same thing goes with tightening the Rear Diff to much.
Has anyone got the C-Hub Tuning Package yet? I see it comes with 2 Front Arm Sets...3 Rear Arm sets and 4 pair of Caster Blocks... Just wondering if it was out yet...that is killer in way of tuning options.

In stock it is not as big of a deal, but in mod I found the pivot ball to be more stable (no flex). Between the two "I" think the c-hubs are more responsive, but the pivot ball holds a tighter line under hard acceleration and high speed turns.

Did you see any way to miniize the Flex in the chassis by maybe adding the EVO2 Rear Bulkhead and Front Bulkhead Supports? What I am talking about is that Bar that connects the two Bulkheads together that support the arm. I just downloaded the T1R Manual and it looks like they are using the arm mounts that do not connect together across the chassis?

You are right. The T1R does not use them. Good point. Could also be a slight difference with the bulkheads. The EVO2 has hardened bulkheads and the T1R has raw aluminum. Not real sure. I have just had much better luck with the EVO2. It's lighter too.

I always found that I needed to add the center weigt and 2 weights on each side of the chassis in the rear to make weight... Is it that much heavier then EVO2?

Solid Upper Deck on T1R
Hey guys, I have an Xray T1R, and I was wondering how the solid graphite upper deck fits on it. It looks like the upper bearing carrier (plastic piece) for the steering is smaller than the one on the EVO2, and the hole in the graphite upper deck looks quite large. How would I put one of these babies on my Raycer to stiffen it up?

You have to be very careful and precise and Drill out the hole a little bigger... then very carefully drill the side holes.... TAKE YOUR TIME..you do not want it to be off. Use the other Brace as a guide

Drill out what hole? I don't think you got what I meant. The graphite upper deck has a very large hole for the steering assembly, whereas my stock composite upper deck has a built in bearing holder. Do I just need to get the graphite deck and then get the plastic bearing holders from the EVO2?
