Could make the blocks out of carbon/delrin, does it need custom of the one piece bits too (shown on the right) or just use stock ones?

Maybe one of the standard front & rear arm mounts if you have any spare so I can look at making low RC mod ones, if not can organise with nf_ekt

Also I will give you guys who send me parts to copy a discount on said parts, only seems fair!

No, not at all.. that was (what appears to be) someones attempt to lose a bit of weight... so that can be ignored!

I will send my MF blocks if needed. I won't be running the car until I get your adapter anyways. No rush so again let me know if you need them. I think I have the kit standard ones too. I have some NIP low front RC blocks that Losi made too.

Excellent ! Don't forget to send him a bottom belt cover as a template for CF one too.

Will do, it was actually at the top of the photo but is so much longer than the towers that it kinda got cropped out.

I bought one of the black belts off of ebay in hopes of getting my xxx-s going again. It seems the belt is just a bit too long. I've read about using a different tensioner but I'm not sure what would be the correct one.

Could someone point me in the right direction?

The longer tension arm would help your cause. Not sure if you can mill the chassis enough to get the right tension (the slot where the set screw goes in to hold the tension arm in place).

You just need to make sure you have the right tensioner. Otherwise, as said, you can figure out a way to mod the chassis to achieve better tension. Did you buy that one from me?

What is the correct belt tension and how do you know if your belt tension is correct? What is the best way to set/measure it?

run it as loose as you can without slipping. if it slips on hard brake its ok to slip a little on a high grip surface.

Yep, unlike any other other car, the XXXS will "click" under hard braking... as long as it doesn't slip under acceleration, all is good. Loose as possible is the way to go.

I may have. I've been in email contact with the seller, so if you've heard from someone, it's likely me.

I plan to run this car in a silver can motor spec class with 1800 nicads, so the power will be very low.

The car is box stock. To get slack out of the belt, the tension arm buries WELL beyond the factory screw slot to the point where lengthening the slot would cut clear into the pinion view window (if that's what it's called). I have read in this thread and others about running it as loose as possible, especially in stock racing. That said, if the tension arm were locked down to it's tightest spot there is still enough slack to where there is an arch in the belt between the rear diff pulley and the spur pulley.

I'll get some pics up this evening and let you guys judge it as best as possible.

I should add that I have not attempted to run the car yet. I'm presently without a radio to test it. As soon as that is remedied I'll likely know better.

I was just wondering, since I've people talk about different tension arms, if there is one out there that is longer, and where can I find it.
