Totally perfect, can't wait !

I can make basically whatever is needed for shock towers, should have a couple coming in the post to me soon to copy, then it's easy to add/subtract holes where necessary

Could someone explain in detail all about these adapters and what roll outs your trying to achieve? Thanks.

The basic idea is the adapter allows use of regular spur gears(instead of the molded Losi spurs) which is a must to achieve the 3.2-3.8 final drives required to run vta, usgt, and 17.5. Without the adaptor it's pretty hard to get in the ballpark.

Default Spur adapter!

I received the first spur adapter from fathead and installed it in my back up xxxs for testing. Initially it fit a bit tight in the chassis but I corrected this with just a small modification which I informed fathead of and the correction will make it to the production adapters. Here is a sneak peek.....keep in mind the craftsmanship on these is absolutely incredible!

Glad if fits (mostly) man.

Looking at it in the car maybe I could do a slightly smaller diameter tensioning idler instead of the main pulley to accommodate the shorter belts, just depends on what people want to do really, option of slighty more expensive 2 piece adapter with pulley(gearing) changeable, or stock pulley teeth count 1 piece with smaller idle.

I took a stripped gear and with my drill press and a exacto knife I made my own adapter. Its pretty easy, although a metal one would probably nicer.

Thumbs up

Actually it fits fine as this chassis has not been milled out as far as my other for the new belt size. If people are running the belts from other sources which are said to be direct replacements it shouldn't be much of an issue. The only suggestion for perfect fit would be to move the bearing on the front pulley side in 1mm which should make it fit as perfect as the red Matt Francis Losi adapter! Kudos again Damon, great job on these!!!

Josh's belt AND those 12 dollar belts from Bulgaria on ebay are both the same size ( a bit small ) The Bulgarian belts are actually manufactured in Germany are reinforced and look , feel and perform like a clone of Josh's belt. The only problem is the two month delivery time from Bulgaria. Variable tooth count on the adapter is important in order the use the two best belts currently made. Also a higher tooth count on the spur gear adapter may allow the use of available XXX4 belts that run a little too big.
