As I've bought 3 used RTR's this info isn't available

Step A-3 for the "G"

"If you decide to build your XXX-S with the front Spool, refer to the addendum included in the bag with the front Spool Pads."

Any one have this that they can post?

Plus what are the pads made of?

Cool

Anyone know of a metric equivalent for the white tensioner pulley bearing (3/16 X 3/8)?

Just got two new belts from Josh on here, when I tried to install one I found this!!!

XXX-S gears (48p) with a 86 or 88 gear you need to make the adjustment mod but with the 90 you do not.

Reason the 86 and 88 have 23 teeth at the spur drive gear and the 90 has 20! Real odd that Losi did that.

===

XXX4 has the same tooth count (20) on the slipper drive pulley (A-3269).

Just wondering, which tracks in Fl are you running at? I'm thinking of putting a XXX-S back out there soon... might need a good starting set up for asphalt.

Default XXX-S VTA ?

Is it even possible to gear a XXX-S for a 25.5 brushless motor.

I have used a 45 tooth 64 pitch pinion with a 108 spur on a 13.5 brushless

It seems to me that I would need a 60+ tooth pinion to match Novaks RDR recommendation for a 25.5 Motor.

Has anyone successfully geared a XXX-S and a 25.5 Brushless motor?

Thanks in advance.

Yes but you need the spur gear adapter, after you score one you are all set for any motor.

Exclamation

Good question, every once in awhile ebay will have one. They are hard to come by but well worth the hassle. With the adapter you can use any spur gear on the market which helps a lot when you wanna run 17.5,21.5 or 25.5 motors.

I don't know much about 3D printing, but I would think that for low -stress classes like 25.5, it would be pretty easy to make some adapters out of some type of plastic. I have a NIP Trinity MF adapter, i would certainly let someone borrow it if they could use it in order to help produce some made out of plastic or delrin..... but again idk what is or is not possible, I just know that 3D printing has made it possible to produce a lot of things.

Does someone have a few picks of said adapters? If they are simple enough I might be interested in cnc'ing a few myself, either delrin or aluminium

Nevermind. Sorry Tmail. IRS use to have a great spool assembly for the xxx-s but it looks like they've closed shop. What a shame.
This list shows some of the goodies we used to have available for our cars. http://ccdata.no/mod/rc/xxx-s-hopup-list/
And since a lot of you folks are racing the X in stock type classes, maybe this other xxxs thread could help. XXX-S Tips and Talk for Stock Classes
