Lightbulb

The belts i tested were too thick and rubbed the inside of the gearcases,i have about nine belts nib i keep to assure i can keep my fleet of xxxs(4 of them)going. The xxx4 belt works great if you can find the longer tensioner arm and they are easier to find.I'd be willing to part with a roller with a new belt and the longer tensioner but don't really wanna start selling off belts yet.

If anyone out there speaks/reads Japanese please take a look at the Kawada website. The Sigma chassis used a similar drivetrain to the xxxs. It looks like they still make the Sigma. I wonder how close in size the belt is and if it's still available. It appears their site is no longer available in English.

Default Belt for XXX-S G+

Hi I'm running a xxx-s graphite and its my last blue belt, I will like if any one found where to buy this ones, or if someone are making aftermarket belts for this great kit.
Cheers,
Alex

Default XXX-S with XXX-4 Yellow Belt and original tensioner

FYI for those looking for belt replacement options for the XXX-S. I just installed a yellow XXX-4 belt. To make it work you file or drill the widest part of the first opening past the normal pivot point on the tension arm just enough that it will fit over the spur gear bushing and be the new pivot point.

Then you have to very carefully determine exactly where the new hole for the tension locking screw has to go and drill through the chassis there. I did this with the spur gear removed but the spindle of the gear still in place for the tension arm to rotate on. I could then easily move the arm into position without tension, lock it in place with a clamp, and drill a guide hole through the lock screw hole on the arm and through the chassis.

Here's a pic

https :// www dot dropbox dot com/s/3jj0d63hir6t0f6/Losi%20XXX-4%20to%20XXX-S%20belt%20conversion.jpg

so you can see where the screw ended up. One battery so far and it seems to be working well.

Default XXX-S with XXX-4 Yellow Belt and original tensioner

Sorry about the picture link, the forum won't let me post an actual link.

If you copy this into a browser it should work:

it does - he put spaces and " dot " in there to keep it from being harvested by bots. Just replace the first part with:
