Ive been struggling to find lipo batterries that will fit into an original e4 can anyone advise

What batteries have you tried?

You generally have to add some 2mm shims to the top deck to fit most lipos. I cant remember off the top of my head which ones fit (as i dont use lipo's) but there is definetly some info in the e4 thread.

I am using the IP5000 in mine with the Wolf metal tray to bring the weight back. I had to raise the top deck 3mm and took out the center brace. The Orion 3800s worked as a direct replacement to the NIMHs.
