While the car and chassis layout are sweet I dont think I'd buy it cuz it IS 4wd...If I wanted to run it with the other F1 (even other Tamiya's) I wouldnt be able to

There are a ton of sweet tuning options and I definitely like the way the motor is mounted...But true SCALE F1's should be RWD not 4WD

Just my opinion (but I'm not completely ruling out getting one and not puttting in the front diff)

No offense to anyone, but there was already a thread about this quite a while ago.

We already went through the debate about whether it was good or bad to be 4wd and all of that.

Search back a page or so, the thread is still there.

The moderators will probably tell you the same thing.

Darkseid,

When did Gospeed say this car would be in? I always wanted to get an F1. Maybe if enough in our area get them, we can run a class this summer...

How much did he say they are retailing for?

Thanks

Well CIVIC91, Yuckfoo and I had already planned on trying to run a class this year. So the ground work is already in place.

gospeed said mine should be in about mid-late this month. Just call him and ask him for the price on it. I can't remember off the top of my head.

Keep in mind though, that this may not be the optimum car to run agaist the 2wd cars. We have decided everyone will use silver can motors, so you would be at a disadvantage in the drivetrain drag department. You might want to consider the Cross Fireforce availible from schumacherusa if your planning on racing with us.

I already have another F1 that I plan to race. I'm getting the F201 for fun mostly. And of course because I'm a huge Ferrari and M. Schumacher fan.

Of course, thats not saying that I wont throw the F201 out there in a race every once in a while. Drivetrain drag or not!

So that means I am running 3 classes this year!!!

I'll just stick with Tamiya, I have been looking to buy one used, but they are hard to find.....

If I'm not mistaken I believe the F201 will run for about $160.00. Once the TRF version is out, I think I'll get one.

if you are going to wait for the TRF version, you'll be waiting for a while, I bet the TRF version won't be out for 2 years.
