Less then a month away, any moderators want to put this thread on "sticky"?

EJ,

The standard is to "Sticky" this two weeks out. While I do not agree with it, that is the standard. The last time I suggested sticking, I got a public bitchslap in this forum.

IMHO, sticking a national race two weeks out is not nearly long enough. I believe it should be at least a month, as that can give people time to get their plans in order.

Wife wants to know whats "nearby" for her to do while I race. Shes a little shy so something within 10 minutes...not SF. Maybe something on the south bay? Zoo, museum, nature preserve tour?

There's a big mall nearby like 1.5 miles or so. It has movie theatres too. I have never been there yet but I saw this info a few months ago during Reedy Race time. What does she like to do? More info about what she likes will get you better info from the locals i'm guessing.

I have friends in the area, If she wants I can try and arrange a trip to half moon bay, hike up mission peak, secrect sidewalk discovery in Niles, actually Niles gets left off most lists as places to see, it is the First "Hollywood" lots of silent movies made there, charlie chaplin comes to mind. although I haven't been thru there in quite some time I guess its still cool. other then half moon bay all of that is within 20 30 minutes of the track

and a little farther down the road, santa cruz, I know youv'e seen the window stickers, now you can see the actual beach and boardwalk, of course its been 25 years since I was there, I assume its still there

Santa Cruz is a destination all on its own now? I figured that changed when I moved away.

Is there still a nice aquarium in Monterey?
