I think that was thanks to Tim Berger "RedBullFixx". Or just a coincidence.

Great question Korey,

I was at the right place at the right time and mentioned the nationals to be held in Union City. Told them a bit about the race and they gave me some product to be placed at the race for rafle and samples. Simply called product placement. So far this is all I have heard about for RC, product placement here and there but have never seen or heard of any paid drivers ( oh yeah, I asked ). Who knows, someday we might see Red Bull Racing heading up an RC team....or not. A bit more attention for the hobby would be great but for now I think RC is very low on the corporate sponsorship radar and will probably stay that way since there is no prize money involved.

Humm?? How to get the attention to the hobby without turning it upside down and ugly by involving money?

How did Red Bull get involved with the race? I noticed a few people won some Red Bull and assumed they were giving to Norcal by a Red Bull representative. I think thats pretty cool... The energy drink industry is huge, and it would be interesting to see if their presence in RC helps with publicity.
