Default Another vote for the XXX-S

Most of my friends doing carpet racing at Stockton have the TC-3; but, I have won the last three Sportsman Stock races on carpet with my XXX-S. And I just upgraded from Rookie...

Of course, having Matt Francis in the area helps...And Todd Hodge at RCTECH.NET too. They want to make sure you have a good time with your Losi...And I am!

Just wait until I get the new black belt kit to keep my string going on carpet.

Bill...Former Professional Slot Car Racer of 40 years ago...And I KNOW I picked the right car.

any car will break if you run into stuff...either car is a good choice....ive had both and id choose a TC3 for stock and a Losi for mod.

To be perfectly honest both the tc3 and the xxx-s are the last two cars i would ever pick. Not because they are bad cars, but because they break easily. I'm not a fan of breaking when you don't even hit anything. I tried out a friend's Xray for the first time on the weekend and all I can say is wow. They really are awsome.

about being fragile, all cars will break if you hit the right spot.. the tc3 and xxxa are both quite fragile, if you want a rock solid car then i recommend the x ray raycer, you`ll get the highest quality and a car that is super easy to drive,so if you like to speak to the boards at the track then the xray is the car for you! also, the new yokomos seems to be good, but very fragile..

Don't let other people make decisions for you. see which car you feel more confortable. If You Don't like Torque steering Go with xxx-s. If you Like Shaft driven Stay with tc3. It all depends what you like. My opinion If your going to stay with a tc3 Go With a Pro4

You might also consider what car will be most convenient for you. Does your favorite LHS carry the parts you will need to maintain whatever brand of car you decide to get?

I would keep the car you already have, simply because you dont know what the other car has been through...for all you know, you might have to replace half the parts on the car as soon as you get it.

If its not broke, why fix it?

But, wrenching is what it's all about, at least that's what I tell my wife to justify the expenditures
