Default XRay T2 '008 motor mount question.

I recently purchased a used T2 '008 and I have a question. I am changing my pinion and spur gears but the mount doesn't seem to allow me to slide the motor back and forth any. Is this normal? Do I need to purchase an aftermarket motor mount bulkhead?

While I'm here, any suggestions on a starting point for gearing for 17.5 stock on carpet?

Okay, I figured out the problem. There was a washer jammed in the hole that would not allow the motor to slide. I still need to figure out a good starter gear for 17.5 carpet though.

Try a 4.3 to start out with.

That's what a lot of people are running at Nexus.
