Thanks EA! My T2'008 was really good last year... and that setup is posted online. That setup leveraged a high amount of rear toe and near zero rear camber change. My XRay Forum user is 'racerlog'. I have two setups that I'll be trying this year... an old one from January 2010 Snowbirds (http://forum.teamxray.com/xform/inde...=1263&setup=t3) and my latest thoughts from what I learned this summer outdoors (http://forum.teamxray.com/xform/inde...=1727&setup=t3)

Hanulec and Ark thanks for all the help, tips and recommendations on the T3, the car is perfect now with the caster 6 and back on the kickup, just need to try the steering post recommendation and see what that does but cant ask for anymore from the car.

Hell some of the other drivers tested out the final setup and managed to improve their laps and time overall.

As for me, today was not a good day, just could not concentrate, to many minds as they say in my head today way to many mistakes and crashes that just never happened previously.

Guess everyone has their day mine was today

Hopefully tomorrow I will be in the zone

Shesha - good work. Sometimes I can only put together a hot lap or two... you have to save up the no blow out skillz for when it matters.

hanulec, yeah bro... +1 on that statement.

Have the WC 1/8 offroad coming in thailand, hope this jinx today does not set on me there.....

Heres the final setup sheet for anyone interested to run on medium to high traction carpet and technical track.

Good luck at the WC.

As for bad racing days... I race weekly with Jason Schreffler and the week prior to Snowbirds 2010 he ran really poorly -- I beat him . Thankfully he bounced back winning 13.5 rubber and having an excellent 2nd in 10.5 1/12th. Dreams can come true....

OKAY

i will admit it, your final set-up is great

thank you guys helping Shesha with his set-up that was originally my set-up that was originally Paul lemieux's set-up

drove my T3 eater today and set the fastest lap on the track and also my personal best by 5 seconds and best lap time by 0.2s.

thank you all for making me beat all those T3s around me with my cheap T2R Pro

cheers

Ali

Iīve broken my two days old T3 chassis it break in nimh - hole completely.. Is it possible to repair it some way, or is it better to get a new one? It is pretty expensive as iīve already spend too much for T3, but it is my fault..
Or what do you guyz say on aftermarket Exotek XR3 chassis? It is little cheaper then OEM and it should improve handling of Xray?

i personally didn't like the Exotech chassis

I didn't like the way the battery was held

So i made my own

It was really easy and cheap , the 2mm carbon sheet cost me 40 euros and about 3 hrs work ,

not the best finish on the edge but works well

Wow thatīs interesting, looks good, how does that perform? And do you have some whiteprints plans for OEM chassis? Or would you mind make some step by step how-to manual? I think that more users will be interested.. Thanks a lot for information..

it drives good

The problem with the stock chassis is the battery side is 10mm wider then the motor side and the stock chassis is 2.5mm thick

I wanted a 2.0mm chassis and after speaking with Paul Lemieux i decided to build my own

Start of with the balance pin holes , drill them out with a 2mm drill hole then put an M2 bolt and nut through them then scribe the motor side of the chassis , turn the original chassis over and trace the motor side again so you have an equal left right chassis

Then cut it out with a Dremmel , cuttin out only the holes you need , diff, spool, and battery tape holes

Then drill out the holes for ONLY the hole you need this will give better control of flex , use a 3mm drill for this

Then countersink , this is where i made a silly mistake and drilled a hole too big when the countersink drill snatched the chassis from my hands

i used a piller drill for the holes , to make sure the holes were straight through the chassis , drilling through the original chassis

then for the motor resess i set the piller drill platform at 1mm below the side drill bit then mark the chassis where you want the motor resess then carefully cut away

chassis made

I just got to run my Exotek chassis for the first time this weekend. It ran very well for me on our low bite track. It balanced very good and did not have to add any weights with a 17.5 motor to get it balanced....just the stock ones it comes with. The battery tape part of it takes a little getting used to but it works awesome once you learn how to run the tape and use it. 1 piece will probably last all week at the IIC!! LOL
