If you are battling somebody to the line, you want it in the front.

is that really makes difference ?on the bumper vs next to servo

On the ECS/Heatshrink issue, I've been using heat shrink as a safety net since the Paved Nats in October with great success. Ralph suggests taking the ECS apart every weekend to clean and re-grease them. This obviously is the best way to maintain them. The ECS assembly goes through a great deal of stress and even with maintaining weekly I have had pins slide out and break. I've found that with the heat shrink the assembly stays together a little better and even if a pin gets loose, it is less likely to break. I'd suggest assembling the ECS per the instructions and use a little heat shrink to help make the unit more durable. Of course the more you take them apart and clean/re-grease them, the better

You'd kick yourself if you lost to a car that had its transponder in the nose.

Theres no way the pt in the bumper will affect your handling. They are light as heck. I really dont think that would make a difference.

No I wouldn't, I don't care that much. I don't know that I have seen a race decided by 6/100s of a second, which is what 4 inches would equate to on a track with a 200 ft running line and ~12 second laps. I've seen qualifying that close but with an IFMAR start it wouldn't matter where the PT is.

car-wise... my car crossed the line in 3rd place,
but transponder-wise... the other car crossed the line in 3rd place... yeah his transponder is on the bumper while mine on top of the servo.

to be Honest I've seen that close results
DoDo confirms that makes difference but I've been checking many pro guys cars none of them put their pt on/in to the bumper ...

That was when the A was typically separated by a handful of seconds though.
