Nice pics...

New bulkheads, higher upper deck, new motor mount and new upper deck. It's only a prototype but they don't seem to have fixed the motor screw access issue.

Actually what I expect from a new car coming out now is to be lipo friendly so we can do away with improvisations and afterthought engineering like trays and so on. I think the raised top deck is trying to address that.

Another good move (Xray are you listening?) is to have optional centre pulleys so the IR of the car can be changed. This would help with keeping pinions in decent sizes rather than having to use 40 tooth pinions and bigger. Optional diff pulleys are available for current cars, I am aware, but it's not an easy job to change them and they don't fit directly across the entire T2 range.

I take it the screw access issue is solved in Xray's opinion by using their spurs. I have found my own technique of setting pinion mesh so I don't care and use my own spurs. Teh lesson is, you can't make people do things they don't want to (i.e. buy more Xray spurs). I think they could have changed the motor mount such that the adjusting slots were at the top and bottom but that would have meant a 416X type mount with the top deck coming around it.

Interesting they have the side posts for the rear deck back on.

Like the fact that the top deck does not attach to the front of the motor mount anymore. That should make flex a bit more symmetrical. The other day i was trying to think of a design that would allow perfectly symmetrical flex but that would leave the motor mount exposed to bending in a well targeted hit to the back of the motor.

The car looks awesome. I know it's popular to complain about companies releasing new kits, but these days, I'm just glad there's still people out there continuing to develop their on-road program. It seems like far too many manufacturers have given up entirely.

Here's some larger versions of the pics already posted:

Rear-arm's anti-roll ball-joint been changed from 2 to 3 compare with T2 suspension. Other than that I didn't see any change on suspension part. Any idea if geo actually different compare with T2?

Thats dumb. All it is an 009 with a different top deck and motor mount. Def not worth the price tag thats going to be attached to it.

Isn't that all xray ever do, change the most minor of things then charge an insane price and attempt to justify it with the overuse of the word 'optimized'.

Well there are more changes.
Battery positioned more out, motor moved more in, one piece top deck and placed higher, spur layshaft ball bearings without plastic casing, lower arm mounts now independent from bulkheads and more I belive

But they all seem like minor changes. They should call it a T2'010, not a T3. I dont believe it has enough big changes to call it a new car.
