Not sure, I have a couple busy weeks coming up. Maybe January at the earliest. Are you coming to the Northeast Grand Slam race at Mimi's next weekend? I'll be there for that one. If not, shoot me a PM and I'll try to help.

What's the best way of removing the pivot balls without distorting or damaging the eyelet?

Thanks

this might not the best way but the cheapest way. screw the pivot balls with 3mm screw in any 3mm hole and drag it out slowly...

Most of my T3 survived another night of racing. The fastest guy at our track took mine around the track for a few laps and to see what kind of adjustments it needed. It was nice to see that the car could go fast with the right driver.

Unfortunately in the first heat I managed to have a pretty hard crash which broke the front outdrive (or whatever it's called). As hard as I hit I am suprised I didn't do more damage so I really can't complain too much.

Default quick saver have fair bit of play between top deck & chassis

hi all

i was checking my setup & found there's lots of play in the steering. have a hard time trying to get setup right.
i realize that the quick saver is able to move up & down between the top deck & chassis, abt 1mm play, i can't be sure but quite a fair bit of movement. i double check the top deck & it's tighten.

is this play normal? can i shim to remove the play, very difficult to get setup right with the extra movement

I've had the quick-saver and bearings eject themselves out of the two bearing caps and distort the top deck under a front end impact. This was with two screws(soft setting) and four screws(med setting) attaching the top-deck to the front bulkheads.I have now installed the front stiffner post behind the servo-saver .Just hope it does'nt cause the servo-saver post to bend.I don't have any play in the servo-saver .Also I did'nt have any problems with the front end breaking so the 3mm rod between the two front rear suspension mounts must be doing its job.

Sometimes the plastic piece that holds the bearing in place pushes to far up in the newer 2mm top deck. Just push down on it and it should fit tighter.

Try taking a 3mm wide strip of plastic from a parts bag or even a 3mm strip of excess material from a sticker sheet and place it between the eccentric and the topdeck/chassis. This will help to reduce some of the play.

Other than breaking one of the composite outdrives and having to switch over to the front diff and drive shafts from my T2 it was a pretty good weekend. Before this weekend my personal record was 35 laps which I matched last weekend with the T3. Yesterday I pulled off 37 laps with a new fastest lap.

I still have a ways to go to catch up to the leaders but I am slowly but steadily getting better and I think this car is going to make it easier.
