Default I almost bought a pan car on Ebay

Think the roller went for $35 bucks or so. I thought it might be a fun project.

Default Roll out question

What would be the target roll out for a 10L2 with a Novak SS 5800. (aprox. a 12 turn motor) Running 6 cells/ 5 minutes.
Thanks for the help.

Yes, I am still here I am just sucking up allof this info. I am running Pro 10 my car is dialed and I am trying to get more racers
to drive pro10, every time they see me practice they want one but they are scared of the speed of the car even in stock, remember most guys never seen a pro10 car and I tell them that this is easer to drive than 1/12 scale. I hope this picks up soon

Hey out there. I thought I would post these here as well as in the main Pro10 thread:

Here are the 19T GTS/GT1 rules:

Body: Any touring/GT-1 style body UNMODIFIED as it appears from the factory that is either in production or has been retired AND has appeared in a full scale touring class event (ALMS, SPEED World Challenge, British TC Championship, etc.) OR a GT event(FIA GT, Grand American Road Racing, Trans-Am, American GT Challenge, etc) Please have manufacturers name and/or website available during initial tech session (tires may not protrude from body) Body list will be posted on the website.

Motor: Any ROAR legal C2-based modified as it appears directly from the factory wound with 19 turns. Fixed timing.

200mm maximum
40 oz minimum weight with EVERYTHING! (including transponder)
2005 ROAR rules will be enforced (pending decision from host track)

I found an old 10L on e-bay that I thought would be cool. Would the 10L3-Touring be a better choice? They are "Order Pending" at tower hobbies and "Discontinued" at Horizon. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the help.
Same as a stock motor, start around 1.5 and check the esc temp.

Hi,
Thanks for the response but I need some clarification. What do you mean by 1.5? Do you mean inches? I geared the car to have a rollout of 33mm and the esc came off at 165F. What temp sould I expect from a properly geared car? We were running our touring cars with the brushless at between 200F and 250F last year so I'm guessing I have some room to gear up. Am I correct in that assumption? If your 1.5 is inches, that would put my metric rollout to 38mm...koooky fast!! The car was already as quick as the 10 turn tc's with the 33mm rollout!

Your car should be MUCH faster than any TC running the equivalent motor. . . remember, you're FAR lighter.

Those of us around here don't use rollout - too much math and we pretty much have it worked out.

What spur/pinion are you running. From this, we pretty much know that new tires are about a tooth (three teeth 64p) less than small tires.

So, running a 9x2 and an 84t 48p spur, we generally run 13t pinions.

As far as temperature of your ESC?
