I use a program called zround track designer. it's great.
Too bad the download site is down.

It's easy to use, but you have to install all his software incl timing software.

PM or email me with your email adress and i will send it to you.

I work in the CAD\EDA industry and have access to CAD drawing tools. There are probable free tools that will not be to hard to learn which will make drawing layouts easy. Try doing a Google search for "FREE CAD PROGRAM"

Another program that can be used is Google Sketchup. I haven't tried to create a track layout, but I know someone who has and you can even walk thru it..

Anything you want it to. Regulation for 10th is 8 foot wide, regulation for 12th is 6 foot, I believe. Either way, most people scope the width of each block to whatever primary lane width they'd like to have. So, since the OP wants to fill a 90x60 with 10 foot lanes, scope the initial grid 9x6 (or 18x12 for half width).

Heck, if you wanted to, you could even scope each block to 1 foot, and spend lots of time using the tiles as details and do it foot by foot.

It's most common, though, to scope it to either full, or 1/2 lane width per block, depending on the resolution that you need and you're ability to conform your available track barriers to what you produce for a layout idea.
