Still running 2 of them, their cogging problem is a lot better with the newer software versions. But it still depends heavily on what motors you will be driving.
The Tekin Redline sensorless motors run very well, almost no problem during the start.
Low wind Mod motors also have almost no cogging problem on 6 cells/Lipo.

But the motors I tested above 7T all give problems starting, especially on 4 cells.

In my TC I'm using it with a Novak 4.5 on 2S. Runs pretty good there.
Allthough I gotta admit, running a redline 448 on 2S in my pro10 gives more consistant starts, it starts good all the time.
Problem is it depends on what motor, I have a GM EVO3 9.5 thats starts pretty bad, and the GM 9.5 purple starts a whole lot better...
But if you wanna run the R1 pro, better get the sensorless redline motors (too bad they're not legal).

Your wasting your money buying a R1 Pro. Get a RS or a RS pro. The RS is far better. I have had both and only had the R1 for 3 days before I took it back.

Sensorless in TC isn't really a good idea if you can help it. I used an R1 and 537 motor in my TA05 to see what happened, and it was a poo. I had my RS, so put that back in

If you are definitely only going to run 8.5 and higher for a while, and on a budget, get the RS. You only need the RS Pro if you are going low-wind.

I tried the R1 pro with the Tekin 362 redline on my pan car. Too many problems at start. I replaced the R1 with a Mamba Max, it works very well. In my opinion for sensorless Castle Creations is very good, I would not use anything else.
