Default TC3 motor question.

Good Afternoon all,

I recently purchased a TC3. I tried to switch my electronics from my T3 just to see how the car ran. My motor won't fit in my TC3. The endbell doesn't seem long enough to reach the drive gear. I thought motors were motors. I know the turns are diffrent but are the cans that the motors are in bigger and longer? The motor seems like its too small for the pocket. Or is it my spur gear? Is there a larger spur gear I need to buy so it will make better contact with my drive gear?

What kind of motor are you putting in? The only motor I couldn't fit was a silver can. Right now I have a brushless and haven't had any problems.

Its sounds like you are trying to say that the pinion gear will not reach the spur gear. If this is your problem you just need a larger pinion gear or larger spur gear. In my TC3 I use a 72 tooth spur gear and any pinion from 19-35 for general racing/bashing. The truck you removed the motor from likely had a smaller pinion for off-road use.

Send a message via Yahoo to trdsupra88

The pinion goes on backwards compared to the t3. set screw end first...
