Hey guys. I got this car from a buddy. Dont know what it is but was thinking about maybe converting it over to electric. Has anybody done this? I know there are tons of 1/8th buggy's running around converted over but haven't seen any onroad stuff.

Thanks
DK

You'd be better off asking in the Nitro On-Road forum.

DK,

I am 99.99% sure that is a Kyosho but not the evolva series, whatever was their car before the evolva. The anodized color to me plus the shocks and the brownish front servo holder is what give it away to me. I have a older (like 5 to 6 year old) kyosho catalog book in color and that is the color and shocks that they used. I will try to find that catalog later today and verify this info.

Restore it at least, that's a great car you have. I just got done doing my Serpent Vector 2000. Here a couple pictures of it. Turned out great, I think.

Yes DK, I am pretty sure that was the type. I think around 2004 I would say.

Phantom 2000. Thanks

Restore? The car looks like it was put together for a big race, finished the main and pulled the motor and throttle servo, tires and here it is. It could use a tear down and cleaning but thats about it. I have a buggy coming with a motor and was thinking about maybe go run it (never driven 1/8th onroad) just to see but, im missing some parts for the clutch.

I kinda looked around here to see where I could drive/race it and the only track is over an hour away. Was thinking about throwing it up on ebay to see what I could get for it. I need a stock 12R5 so I dont keep tearing into my mod car.

Electric at the local indoor track would be a hoot though. LOL.
