New Tamiya Chassis??

He guys,

There are some people overhere in Holland who say that within 2 months Tamiya will release a new chassis (no not the TRF415). Can it be the Evo 4, or a 1:18 scale or 1:12 scale? Or..........

If you have an info, please tell me. They won't and its killing me

M.

Story is TRF will not take the 415 to the Worlds and that a new Evo4 will be ready.

Default new chassis

if they are going to make a new evo4,the only way that i will buy the car again is if they fix the oneway gear problem.i think they should run the TRF415 at the worlds.the car is still a prototype but it is winning some races w/ good results.

If it is the Evo 4, which it most likely is, they will have a hard time topping the Evo 3. The only thing to do is improve reliability which someone already said.

Tamiya is becoming the master of getting guys to buy a new car every 3 months or so. I would be if they have a EVO4 being built they also have a 5 and 6 already designed. As much as they cost it is hard to see guys buyinjg a new one every few months. And then parts are hard to get for these limited cars as well. How about one well designed car (ala TC3 or XXX-s) that Tamiya promotes for more than a year and is not limited so parts would be easier to find. I think the shops are going to go broke trying to keep up buying the new Tamiya stuff.

Ummm so just what is coming soon ??

If it is an EVO IV i will just have to get it as i do love my SE EVO III so much ( except underdeveloped drive train ) even though i am sponsored to race another car, oh well i will just have to get one to make sure it gets a review in the UK mags.

ahh i really hope it keeps the "awesome'ness" of the evo3 S but takes its to the next level , and kicks butt so tamiya wont have to evolve this revolutionary car! i love my SE, dont want to be tempted to get another car!!!! i just about got my heart back from the 415!!

I think the car is great so tamiya should keep running with the Popularity of the evo 3 and just finish the developments on the drive train and leave the rest of the car. If they release an evo 4 that is compleatly different they may have a hard time selling two competition race cars once the 415 comes out

Tamiya's policy is more like :

- cars like Evo 3, 414, 415 and so called TRF cars are only limited editions for pure racers,

- cars like TA04, TB02 (TA05 ?) with full part support for years and years are for average racers.

Why change things when most of their market is the japanese market (60% or more if I remember well), in which cars like the TA04 are very popular ?

Tamiya and Yokomo are the biggest "car of the month" companies I've ever seen. I just got a brand new TRF414M2 that was selling a year ago for like $350+ for $220 as a practice car for the Tamiya track. There's nothing wrong with the 414. It's a great car. But becuase the 415 was announced, they HAD to get rid of them because nobody wanted them anymore. I'm sure the 415 has some attributes, but damn! And if the new car is anothe shaft car, why didn't they just spend the time they spent on this car to fix the drive train problems with the EVO III?

The Evo 3 Surikian Edition has this problem fixed. Tamiya always makes a new EVO car every year, since its a new year, new car.

Hope fully the EVO 4 will be a revised EVO3 with a bullet proof drive train that we all can get and replace the old one with. That would make the perfect car!
