Great, thanks. My vote for rubber premounts is something of the Sorex variety
There's several that you can choose from, and they're listed on the entry form.
And yes, that tire seems to be the popular choice.

The wgt class is only an extra class for this race. Many of our locals are not pros so that is what we chose. If another race wants to have WGT as their raceway choice class they can make it 10.5 or what ever they want (4.5) LOL!!
stop yelling at me chicky

Regarding the Halloween Classic: I wanted to point out something pertaining the pit space at the hotel.
For those that attended the Carpet Nationals, I'm sure you remember the tight pit spaces. This was because we were left in a bind when the old Gate flooded () and this was all we had to work with.
For the Halloween Classic, we were able to get additional rooms adjacent to the track for pit space. (These rooms were not available to us for the Carpet Nats) Therefore, everyone will have more room as we'll be able to use bigger tables. When we complete the exact pit layout, we will let you know the size of the pit space.

Speaking of which....do the Jeff Dayger certificates left over from Nats expire or will they still be redemmable at the classic.
rob michaels, at superior hobbies/corally, donated the prize. i'll have to check with him to be sure, but i thought he said the offer was good through dec, 2010.
i'd imagine it's a tough choice. on one hand, the waiting itself would be excruciating. on the other, he could pack another 5 or 10 pounds of muscle on by then. choices...

I agree completely with Jimmie. To me it's about trying to put down the best runs that I can manage and then comparing my abilities to those of the guys at the top echelon. Isn't that why we spend the time, effort, and money to travel to these big races in the first place? It's way more fun to have a solid run that still slots me behind several of the really fast guys than to dominate a slower class or a club race at home. Having the opportunity to run with and measure myself against the very best would seem the whole point of the exercise. Why seek out the best racers, only to avoid them by running in a slower class where they don't participate? Doing that does seem a little silly. Does anybody really care about what's engraved on the plaque? One might argue that a solid 4th place run in modified a bigger accomplishment than a win in stock against a weaker (probably larger but still weaker) field.
