Rcdevil car is not as difficult to set up as some people think. The are some very good videos about pro10 and Rcdevil frontend in youtube Rear end is even easier than a standard pancar!!! . These videos help me a lot . The only problem is german language for me...

Not completly Alexander,
They got some parts for me at a great price but not everything i am looking for.
Joost is setting me up with the carbon molds so Oscar can make them for me.
This will give me 1 complete car but i want a spare/raincar and some spares for when i brake something.
Look at my name that says it all don't you think?
It will be my first year of racing these cars and i think i will break something
regards Roy

what changes do you typically make to setup the car? can you post your setup for interests sake?

My basic setup for Rcdevil is:
Camber= -2
Caster= 10 (1+ 9 built in)
Toe out: 1.5
Downstops: 8 mm
Ride Height: front 6 mm , rear 6,5 mm
Tires: 56 mm front, 58 mm rear
V-link: Upper arms
ESC: Speedassion GT2
Motor: 7.5T Speedpassion
Gear ratio (48p):
78/19 ( the car comes with a very big 87 teeth to use with Delta motors but our local track is not as big for this!!!)
Roll out: 44,4
Shocks: Using same config as instructions manual: Front and side: 60 WT oil, Center: 50 WT oil.
Thatīs all

thanks for that. i've decided to get one myself. how do you find the front suspension? does it make the car drive very different from a pan car with a standard front end? i've suffered some blowovers in recent races and am thinking the rcdevil front end might soak up the bumps a little better. i also just like the look of the car. it appears to be a very well considered design although perhaps a little over-complicated. time will tell though

I found the car easier to drive than standard pro10 (also have a Corally 10SL 235 mm). It drives into the curves easier and the front dampers help a lot on bumpy tracks. One advice, you have to limit the front downstops to make it easier to drive if not the car becomes a little nervious.
As I said before, i think thatīs the best ever electric 1/10 car Iīve had. If I compare it with my TRF416X (touring 4wd) is hard to decide which is better... This one is the fastest!!!

Donīt think is over budget. Is done in small quantities and you have to reserve it to have one because they build the pieces for you. Is like reserve a Ferrari or a Rolls Royce in the real world... But you pay what you get.

There certainly are cheaper pan cars available out there although as per the discussion earlier on this thread if you want a proper new 235mm car there aren't all that many choices. it really is a shame this class isn't more popular around the world as I find mod pro 10 so much more fun to drive than mod tc. If conditions suit 2wd cars (and there aren't too many tracks it appears a pro 10 car can't be driven successfully) there is really no comparison. I'm not 100% sure why the class died out but I'm grateful that you crazy Europeans are still racing and producing these cars!
Rokosam, how much front droop do you typically run?

Yup that is us
Crazy europeans
The only true 235 is i think Corally right out of the box.
There are some companies who make parts to widen cars from 200 to 235 and there are people who design there own parts like Joost K at the Dutch forum.
He is running a 235MM car based on a RC10R5 i believe without extra hubs to make the car wider.
He designed his own chassis and parts to widen the front and i think he is using IRS parts at the rear.
This car is one pretty sight to see and from what i heard a dream to drive.
Or he is just that good
I have a Academy SP3-X almost PRO that is from the box also 235MM but is is discontinued.
Sometimes you see a kit on e-bay but that is rare.
I know one to find that is only 80 euro's but that is the stock version and not the pro with the carbon and alloy parts.
If your craftfull you can turn it in a Pro version that drives very well.
Here is a pic of Joost car and the Academy Pro
