Hi Joost,
Here is pics of the setup. Longest available IRS hubs with IRS carbon axle. using an RJs thrust washer on each side. I don't think the axle is to blame here as when I run it full speed with no wheels on it it spins 100% true with no vibrations. I'm beginning to think the axle tramp maybe too much flex in the chassis?

P.S. Anyone know where i can get a wheel balancer from?

Make the spur in 48pitch and in 81 and 78 teeth. Otherwise it is NOT suited for Pro10.

But I am very interested to test it if you need it to be tested!!!

Without wheels at full speed it is 100% ??

Check the wheels. Which brand of wheels and tires are you using?

Try this,
Get three sets of wheels.
- one straight out of the box
- a much used set
- a normal to use set

Put the much used set on the truer and true off ALL the rubber so there are just the rims left.
True the normal used set to be a precise match to each other in diameter.

Now...

Start with the brand new set, mount it and check for vibrations. Yes/No
Mount the bare rims and check again. Yes/No
Mount the matched set and check again. Yes/No

My guess is that the rims you use are not true...

Thanks Joost will give it a try. Am using Enettis (Shepherds) at the moment, have also tried Contacts and seemed to do same thing.

Cheers
Simon

Try that with the wheels and let us know. Then we are a step further.

We'll fix it, don't worry

Much appreciated Joost, it's bloody annoying! lol

I'll actually try my rear wheels on a friends car too and see what happens as his is running fine.

Maybe a silly remark from my side but couldn't it be due to the fact of the rearpod design?
As you know Joost we are running wider rear pods as is the RC10L series in true 235mm and the vbc,SM Roadkill and the VIP Vorlon.
I have heard this vibration story before on a converted WGT car.
After they put on a wider rearpod, it was gone.
It was all due to the axle not beeing supported wide enough and the small untrue rimms used.
Even with no foam on the rims you have an small bit of unbalance and with the rear axle supported as close as the Serpent has and some others,it can cause these vibrations.
Perhaps i am completely going the wrong way but it would make sense.
Btw i want in on the 81 and 78 teeth gear diffs.

Regards Roy

If Joost would send it back to me, yes.
It is an T-bar car tho but it has alot of spares with it.
I could set it up with damper tubes or with side shocks.
It all depens on what you want.
I could even slap on the other bulkheads on the front so you can run the R5 front end.
All up too you and how fast Joost will send it back too me

Regards Roy

Yes, I am quit aware of the fact that the rearpod is a small type... And that also could be the problem but we are just ruling out all the rest.
