Depends on your car, but I have the PPD Billet Base/Side Weights and Diggity Designs Wide Mounting Brace for my TC5.

Check your side to side balance on that thing? I found with my offset DD brace I didn't need to run the PPD plate, just added 21 grams to the top of the battery strap. Just my possibly non needed in put. I race with Kevin (PPD) super good guy...

@vasso; are you running the atomic LIPO mount in a T2'008 five cell?
I wonder if the Atomic case fit good in the five cell version?

No I run it in the T2009 but it fits the both 5 & 6 cell version without any modifications as there are two lots of screw holes; the instructions actually specify which holes to use on the 5 cell version; so it's all good. Well worth the $30 I spent.

ok, sounds good. Do the mount fit under the top deck on the T2'008? because otherwise the mount must be placed outside the chasisplate...

Before I switched to the Exotek chassis, for a short time, I had the Corally (Specialized) tray in my TC5.

There are several variables that will cause his to balance with more weight. #1 battery size (mah). They can vary better then 2oz depending on capacity. #2 distance from centerline of chassis that battery is placed. The farther from center the less weight needed. #3 Weight of electronics on opposite side.

One bit of advise on those 21 grams. Get them off the top of the strap. That will raise your center of gravity being so high up. Try to get that weight on the chassis and you'll have less force throwing the car around in hard turns.

One of the larger benifits you'll see with a lipo plate is it lowers the center of gravity because the heavier (denser weight) is on and IN the chassis..

+ 1 Verndog. I also got rid of the strap, and even went so far as to buy a lighter servo that is closer to the centerline (being that its Low-Profile), even taking off the ring on the motor.

Heres mine with BOTH PPD billet Lipo plates, and no other added weight. (yet)Balances perfectly. I just push the lipo to a line I have drawn on the plate where it all balances out. I need to add about 10grams (depending on body/paint used) down the centerline to get to min weight, which is 1500g.

I have 6 bodies so I change the weight down the centerline quite frequently LOL.

Exactly as designed. You have kept the weight on or inside the chassis edge and it balances close to min weight that way. Alot of club races nowadays aren't checking weight, so people are offsetting the batteries farther out and using less weight. There are varying opinions on that. Heavy weight hanging off the side of the chassis is only happening on 1 side. The motor hangs off, but its weight is supported closer to C/L of chassis from mount.

Yes, it will balance that way while on level surface...but once you enter a turn, the TC will act different from L to right turns since the L side weight is farther outside then the R side weight. People that have tried this know it...those that haven't think your nuts when you explain it.

Nice Pic and nice job!
