This is a receiver pack that a few of the local racers are using. They are really small and light.

Hello,
I'm planning on purchasing this car soon and wanted to know what spare parts I should order along with it. From what I have read so far, I want to get the optional arms and the x brace. Is there certain parts on the car that are susceptible to wear or breakage that I should have some spares?
Thanks in advance

My rehabbed Gen X (to L): I just ordered the open pod 4mm top plate and standoff, the new lower pod plate with the extra hole for the micro pod plate, the BA aluminum micro side pod plate, the "long arm" front brace, Center shock and a couple full sets of various mounted tires. It already had the 'open' side pod plate and the latest and greatest hubs, but I was worried about sensor wire clearance. It took about 30 minutes to swap everything to the new XL chassis. The little brother to my Gen X 10 should kick butt.
For spares I have:
2 front arm kits #3247, 2 Steering blocks #3251, 1 Axle #4228, Diff Balls #1229 (100) or get carbides, a couple sets of Diff rings #4202, Bearings #1387, #1386 and #3248 (these are 10 packs), shims #4745 and #4732 (these are 20 packs), screw set #1410, 2 #1261 battery o-ring.
I also picked up the wide front bumper to save on front end parts.

Timmie, when I had a GenX I just bougt a spare complete front end, spare bearings, and maybe some rear hubs. Plus spur gears, diff balls, and diff rings.

Of all the guys on this thread, Ian (Cypress) is the one you should listen to most. Don't even bother with those Firsching characters, or even Frank. Those guys call Ian about every 5 minutes with questions.
Other than Myles Hale, Ian is your source for all things CRC.

Anyone seen any setups yet for this car? None on crc site yet.

Which in reality, doesn't happen all that often for a West Virginia State Cham-PEEN.

Awesome thanks a lot for the advice guys
I didn't even think about kingpins, I wrote that down just now ha! Catastrophic collision should be my middle name, when I wreck I do it right. I'm pretty green to 12th scale and pan cars in general so soaking up as much info as I can. Fell in love with WGT, then the locals bailed, so figured 12th scale would be a safe bet to go with. As soon as I saw this car my mind was made up I can't wait to get one.

For the peeps chating about spares :
The kingpins are a good idea. However, if you break one you may to replace other parts also. When you snap a kingpin it will be next to impossible to unthread it from the axle and steering block. So, you may want to pick some of those up too.
Liljohn :
Those are all the parts that you need for the long arm setup. Maybe, you might need a few screws but I think they come with the front brace. Pics are on teamcrc.com.
