Nope, the guys in our club have been snapping them clean off! Not a bent one in sight.
I honestly think it must be a bad batch or something. I have been running my 3.2R with the prostrut front end now for 3-4 years, and have not broken one yet, but I have seen 4-5 broken in the last couple of weeks on the XL cars.
Shawn.

I am an experienced racer but new to the disciplin and I have a few questions about tire "management". Anyone feel free to shime in about an efficient strategy to have some practice time on tires without burning too many.
Do you practice or race with your tires at a larger diameter before getting them to that size? If so, how does it affect your setup?
How many runs can you get from tires that size?
thanks in advance.

Thanks for the congrats!
I ran all my "race" tires in 1 practice heat each.
I started at 1.69" rear 1.64" fronts
I think on a low bite tracks, those diameters and added ground clearance actually help with traction.
For qualifing I skimmed them, 1.69" rear and 1.63" front for the first run.
Every run I took off .01"
For the main, that was the 4th run on that set.
I was at 1.66" rea and 1.61" front.
Traction was high and that diameter was perfect

Congrats on your win! What body did you run?

Thanks for the help.
You put 20k tube lube on the king pins. Does it give you a dampening effect? is that commun practice?
I used a parma speed 8 HD body (not LW to handle my first runs crash). I have an unpainted parma Zytec 04s light, should i prepare it to try it on? Is there any other body i should get or those two could do the job?
I will be racing on a high traction carpet.

The lube was for dampening. I've always used some type of lube for dampening to slow things down.
I run a Parma speed 8. My car set up seems to work the best with it. I tried other Parma bodies, but liked the speed 8 the best.
