Yes, I did break on as well. I don't wreak often but I guess when I do its hard. I went to the optional 4mm top plate. Have yet to have another issue.
If you have to standard plates you can put them together but longer screws will be needed. The 4mm plate comes with the longer screws.

they only break in a real hard crash. i have broken one since i got the car. the same piece off of a genx 10 is the same piece but much thicker and wont break.

I found that these break pretty easily on a track with wooden markers. There is anoter way to solve this if you don't want to get the 4mm one. I put pivot balls instead of screws in the holes at the ends of the top plate. Then run a turnbuckle across.

If you are braking the top plates to any gen x ( 10 or xl) these braces work very well.

Yeah it will break if you tap hard. I busted mine this weekend, but it was an extremely hard hit that broke some other parts as well. Nothing wrong with the stock part so long you dont hit stuff gorilla hard...
I noticed the graphite steering arms are longer than the stock plastic ones that come with the kit. What's the advantage of these? Is it some sort of ankerman change, or just another piece to help tweak servo position?
What would be a good alternative to the CRC heavy lube for the side dampners? Want to try something with more viscosity. Not sure what the grade of this lube is compare to say xRay or Associated lube.

Re: Proper way to setup front suspension
Hey guys,
I love running the Gen XL and for the past three race events I have been having problems with the car not being able to run properly. The problem that I am having with the car is that when I am running the car it is twitchy as hell. When I give it full power the car will go everywhere but straight and when I do try to turn the car is will spin out everytime when trying to enter the infield. I have changed all bearings, replaced the side springs, replaced all the worn out front suspension parts, and springs etc. The problem still persists!!!!!
Can someone please explain how to properly adjust front suspension for maximum performance. I would appreciate in comments and suggestions on this matter.
Thanks,
Derek S.
