It's more like the RS4 Sport. There are similarities, but so many differences between it and the Sprint 2. The S2S has more upgraded features. I guess you could probably use alot of the parts to upgrade.

Probably, along with the rest of the associated parts (shocks, etc.).

I know this thread's kind of old, but I figured I'd chime in.

If you want an RS4 Rally, you can still get one.

ebay an RS4 Sport for little to nothing. You can get them in good shape all day long for $30-$60 as either rollers or sometimes RTR. All you really need is a roller. The RS4 Rally was based on the Sport , so you take that roller and add:

(All parts are in Tower Hobbies part numbers since the site won't let me post links. Just drop them into the Tower Hobbies search box.)

The RS4 Rally used a 50-66mm shock that you can't get anymore. These work just as well:

LX2587

With these springs

LXBVF9

It also used RS4 Nitro 200mm suspension arms.

A450

Which will need these dogbones.

A552

And these axles.

Front: A556

Rear: A557

And these turnbuckles

LXCYS9

These were the tires:

LXM975

And the torquier 90 tooth spur

LXN204

And the original '98 Impreza body, which is the best looking one IMO.

LXN223

The newer WRC Impreza, Focus, and Evo bodies are also still available in 200mm.

The inner body and dirt shield are no longer available.

But this is the front bumper/skid plate:

A489

Any touring car wheel will fit. But these were the ones that came with the RS4 Rally.

=LXM956

And you have an RS4 Rally. About the only things you can't get are the inner and under bodies. The under body was nice, but the inner body was bad news. It was completely unventilated and your esc and battery got ridiculously hot. Belts are cheaper then power systems, so I just ran the car without the upper body 99.9% of the time.

Hope this helps anyone wanting to rebuild or experience an RS4 Rally. It really was a great car, and a lot of fun! I haven't found anything that drives quite like it since mine was retired.

Hi Guys,

I know its an old thread, but I currently have an RS4 Rally that I'm looking to sell. It never got much use, I still have the original underbody but not the top half.

If anyones interested, let me know. Its located near Adelaide South Australia but I'm happy to post.

cheers,

Dave

In case it's not clear, I'm looking for the electric version not the Super Nitro.
