Default Looking for some help new to on-road

Hey guys I'm looking for some help on some stuff. I've been racing off-road nitro for the last 6 years and decided to take a break from all the fumes and try my luck at some on-road. But with all the different brands of batteries out there it's really hard for me to know what is best for racing. The tracks that I'm going to go to run 6 min quals and mains. I want to stick with a better known company for motor, esc and batteries just because thats the way I am, most of the guys at the track run a companies batteries called True RC but I'm not to sure if I want to run those or not.

Any help would be great and thanks in advance. Also if you have any input on what little things would help with the tansition from dirt to carpet would be great as well.

It would help for you to figure out what class you wanna run first. That play heavily into batteries and motors due to different needs and restrictions. If your class (and wallet) allow lipo I'd say go that way. You'd be happier during practice with the longer run times that you are used to with nitro and you will prob only need one battery.

Pick your class and get the rules / specs for it. That will help folks here making suggestions.

Yeah, need to know what class.

I'm going to assume some sort of spec TC. You will need a good speed control/motor combo for spec racing. I would recommend the Tekin RS Pro with whatever Tekin motor your track runs, usually 17.5 or 13.5.

Batteries would be any of the good hardcase 2s Lipos. Say 4800mah or more with 40c or more. I like SMC but there are other good ones out there as well.

Of course, If you are planning to run 1/12th or WGT, that's a whole different story.
